Before you install jQuery Web Parts for SharePoint

Download and install the jQuery SmartTools which integrates the jQuery JavaScript library with SharePoint 2007.

v1.1.0.0 Release Notes

- Make sure you un-install the v1.0.0.0 solution fully before you install the 1.1.0.0 version.
- Multiple web parts in the same page is not supported.

- Multiple web parts in the same page is not supported.

Installation Instructions

Download and unzip the latest stable release to your folder.

Execute the setup.exe to install the jQuery Web Parts for SharePoint. This project uses the SharePoint Solution Installer for installing and uninstalling the solution.

Once successfully installed to your site, you should see the site level features for the available web parts.

You should also see a site collection level feature, jQuery UI Library which integrates jQuery UI library with your SharePoint site.

This image cycle web part uses the jQuery Cycle Lite Plugin

You can bind any of the Pictures Library to this image cycle web part. You can choose the Pictures library from the web part properties, when you edit the web part.

This news ticker web part uses the jQuery newsticker Plugin

You can bind any of the Announcements List to this news ticker web part. You can choose the Announcements list from the web part properties, when you edit the web part.

Image Cycle Web Part

The Image Cycle web part now has more options. You can now select the transition you want from a list of transitions, timeout and speed for the selected transition!

Available transitions are:

News Ticker Web Part for Announcements List

In v1.0.0.0, if the news content is too much for the news ticker control height, you will get a scrollbar, like this:

From this version onwards, you can now set the height of the news ticker control!

Once you set the desired height, the scrollbar disappears!

Project Description
jQuery Web Parts for SharePoint brings the various jQuery UI elements to SharePoint as web parts. It uses jQuery SmartTools to integrate jQuery in SharePoint.
